Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- Type 1 diabetes
- A1C \<9%
- Mild neuropathy
- Mild retinopathy
- Mild nephropathy
Exclusion
- History of drug or alcohol dependence, heart disease, viral illness, liver disease, advanced kidney disease
- Pregnant or nursing
- Severely overweight
