Brief Summary

The purpose of this study is to determine how vitamin D supplementation (ergocalciferol) affects the immune response to mycobacterial infection.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Adult
  • Tuberculosis (TB) contact or TB patient

Exclusion

  • Pregnancy
  • Breastfeeding
  • Hyperparathyroidism
  • Sarcoidosis
  • Renal failure
  • HIV infection
