Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- Adults with communication impairment following a new stroke
Exclusion
- Not fluent in the English language
- Subarachnoid haemorrhage
- Pre-existing, progressive dementia or learning disability
- Palliative care only or deceased since admission
- Resident outside the treatment area
