Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- Inpatient with acute alcoholic hepatitis
- Model for End-Stage Liver Disease (MELD) of 15 or greater
- Recent alcohol abuse
Exclusion
- Recent infection
- Other life threatening disease
- Severe coagulopathy
- Another non-alcoholic cause of liver disease
