Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- BMI \> 40
- BMI \> 35 with co-morbidities
- normal creatinine/liver labs
- insurance approval for RYGB or resources to self-pay
- proximity to Nashville, TN
Exclusion
- use of anticoagulants, steroids, therapeutic niacin
- previous bariatric surgery
