Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- Patients undergoing cardiac surgery with use of extracorporeal circulation
- Aged 65 or more
Exclusion
- "redo" procedures
- anticipated use of succinylcholine during operation
- contraindications to rivastigmine
- preoperative mini mental score \< 15
