Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • singleton pregnancy
  • gestation of at least 36 weeks at recruitment
  • no uterine scar
  • the absence of any obstetric complication that would contraindicate vaginal delivery.

Exclusion

  • refusal to participate in trial
  • contraindications to labour, vaginal delivery, breastfeeding
