- DISEASE CHARACTERISTICS:
- Histologically or cytologically confirmed newly diagnosed neuroblastoma
- Any stage disease
- No previously treated disease
- Must be diagnosed before the first birthday
- Must be able to start treatment before reaching 13 months of age
