Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • morbidly obese patients with BMI \> 30
  • confirmed obstructive sleep apnea with RDI \> 10/hr
  • able to sign consent

Exclusion

  • patients undergoing weight reduction surgery
  • sleep apnea other than obstructive sleep apnea
  • untreated endocrine disorder
  • patient refusal
