Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • infection with P.falciparum detected by PCR

Exclusion

  • pregnancy
  • severe anaemia
  • fever or other signs of illness
  • history of allergy to sulfa drugs
  • presence of other species of Plasmodium detected by microscopy
