Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • age \> 18 years
  • presence of liver cirrhosis
  • evaluation for liver transplantation or transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt

Exclusion

  • inadequate echocardiographic image quality
  • allergies to echocardiographic contrast agents
  • pulmonary valve stenosis
  • pulmonary embolism
  • relevant tricuspid regurgitation
  • cardiomyopathy
