Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Clinical, ultrasonographic and serologic diagnosis (ELISA) of amebic liver abscess.
  • Both genders
  • Older 15 years

Exclusion

  • Clinically suspected piogenous liver abscess
  • Positive hemoculture
  • Negative ELISA for amoebic antigens
  • Immunosupresion (HIV)
  • Abdominal or biliary surgery antecedents
  • Abdominal neoplasia antecedents
