The purpose of this study is to test the usefulness of measuring plasma brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) for diagnosis and prognosis in very elderly dyspneic patients.

Inclusion
- acute dyspnea
- crackles on lung auscultation,
- hypoxemia,
- right-sided signs.
Exclusion
- no exclusion criteria
