Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • age 6 months-23 years
  • documented central line infection with bacteria or fungus (positive blood culture)

Exclusion

  • allergy or intolerance to ethanol
  • pregnant or breastfeeding
  • central line tunnel or exit site infection
