Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Heterogeneous emphysema as determined by high-resolution CT scan
  • Scheduled for clinically indicated ELVR procedure

Exclusion

  • Hyperexcretive chronic bronchitis or excessive sputum secretion
  • Active pulmonary infection
  • Active asthma or lung hyper-responsiveness
