Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- Diagnosis of definite or possible ALS by the El Escorial Criteria
- No previously known gastrointestinal problems
Exclusion
- Patients or controls who have evidence of previous gastrointestinal disease
- Patients unable to give informed consent
