Inclusion
- Patients \> 7 years old with burns covering 40% or more of body surface who are admitted to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Galveston, Texas
Exclusion
- Abnormal liver and kidney function,
- Pregnancy,
- Diabetes mellitus,
