Inclusion
- All patients undergoing intestinal anastamosis on an elective or emergency basis
Exclusion
- Re laparotomies
- Patients who are immunosuppressed
- Patients with renal failure
- Patients with spinal injuries
- Patients requiring critical care
- Pediatric patients
