Inclusion
- diabetes mellitus
- proven diabetic nephropathy by histological/lab findings and/or discretion of nephrologist
- ability to understand the German language
Exclusion
- end stage renal disease and/or dialysis
- unable or unwilling to follow the protocol
- pregnant women
- discretion of nephrologist
