Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Head and neck cancer patients with limited mouth opening
  • Undergoing awake fiberoptic nasal intubation for elective surgery

Exclusion

  • a history of severe bradycardia
  • any type of A-V block in EKG
  • heart failure
  • liver cirrhosis
  • thrombocytopenia
  • coagulopathy
