Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- patients undergoing phacoemulsification for uncomplicated senile cataracts
- Cataracts from grade 1 to 3
Exclusion
- presence of glaucoma,
- diabetic retinopathy,
- retinal vascular disease,
- high myopia (defined as AL \> 25mm),
- uveitis,
- previous ocular trauma or surgery
