Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- cervical level spinal cord injury;
- complete paralysis of fingers and thumbs;
- voluntary shoulder motion;
- electrically excitable forearm and hand musculature
Exclusion
- extreme contractures of the joints;
- skeletal immaturity;
- extensive denervation in the forearm and hand;
- poor surgical risk
