- DISEASE CHARACTERISTICS:
- Diagnosis of cancer
- Currently being treated with dactinomycin on a clinical trial at a United Kingdom Children's Cancer Study Group center
- PATIENT CHARACTERISTICS:
- Single- or double-lumen central venous catheter or portacath in place
- PRIOR CONCURRENT THERAPY:
