Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- Over 18 years old
- Already having an external CSF drain
- Scheduled for neurosurgery requiring antibiotic prophylaxis (most commonly placement of an internal drain ("shunt")
Exclusion
- Infection or colonization requiring other than standard prophylactic antibiotics
