Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • ST-elevation myocardial infarction \< 12 hours
  • primary percutaneous coronary intervention

Exclusion

  • previous myocardial infarction
  • prior fibrinolysis
  • contraindications to CMR at study entry (such as implanted pacemakers, defibrillators, claustrophobia or metallic intracranial implants)
