Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • schizophrenia or no psychiatric illness
  • 18 and older
  • men and women
  • cigarette smokers, 20-50 cigarettes per day
  • would like to quit someday

Exclusion

  • medical conditions excluding transdermal nicotine replacement
  • pregnancy or lactation
