- Body Mass Index (BMI)\>35
- BMI\>27 + one risk factor for cardiovascular disease or metabolic syndrome
- \>18 years
Exclusion
- Medicinal treatment of thyroid disease
- Pregnancy or planned pregnancy
- Taking of diet pills like Xenical or Sibutramine
