Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Newly diagnosed, drug-naive patients with type 2 diabetes
  • Fasting plasma glucose: 7-11 mmol/l
  • HbA1C: 7-9%.

Exclusion

  • Type 1 diabetes
  • Liver and kidney failure
