Inclusion
- age \> 18 years
- ASA classification I-II, scheduled for elective surgery requiring general anesthesia
- signed informed consent
Exclusion
- BMI \> 35
- co-existing respiratory disease (COPD, asthma )
- patient refusal
- pregnancy
- deformities of the thorax
