Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- children \</= 6 months of age with congenital cardiac disease undergoing cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass.
Exclusion
- presence of a known bleeding disorder or coagulopathy.
- age \> 6 months,
- lack of informed consent.
