Inclusion

  • age \>18 years
  • ASA I-II, scheduled for elective surgery requiring general anesthesia
  • signed informed consent

Exclusion

  • patient refusal
  • BMI \> 35
  • co-existing respiratory disease (COPD, asthma, restrictive lung disease)
  • pregnancy
