Inclusion
- non-valvular atrial fibrillation
- increased risk for thromboembolic complications (a minimum CHADS2Score of at least 2)
Exclusion
- Valvular-atrial fibrillation
- Low risk for thromboembolic complications CHADS-2-Score \< 2
