Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • colonized with MRSA at admission
  • age of 18 years or older
  • admitted directly to the ICU from either the ED or the OR with trauma-related injuries

Exclusion

  • active or recent known history of MRSA infection
  • previous institutionalization
