Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • infants who are likely to be inpatients in the NICU for at least 4 weeks

Exclusion

  • congenital or acquired skin disease,
  • cyanotic congenital heart disease,
  • neonates that are not viable and
  • those with lethal anomalies such as anencephaly, trisomy 13, trisomy 18, renal agenesis
