Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- ICU patient equipped with an arterial line
- NIV treatment prescribed by the clinician in charge
- Hypercapnia defined by PaCO2\> 42mmHg
Exclusion
- Severe hemodynamic instability
- Severe psychiatric disorders
- Denied consent
- Age \< 18 years
