Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • ICU patient equipped with an arterial line
  • NIV treatment prescribed by the clinician in charge
  • Hypercapnia defined by PaCO2\> 42mmHg

Exclusion

  • Severe hemodynamic instability
  • Severe psychiatric disorders
  • Denied consent
  • Age \< 18 years
