Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • male and female
  • patient weighs 75 kg or smaller
  • 40-80 years of age
  • elective or urgent cardiac surgery

Exclusion

  • emergent surgery
  • severe anemia
  • severe kidney dysfunction
  • ejection fraction of less than 30%
