Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • ASA 1 -3, patients scheduled for TURP( transurethral resection of prostate) were included

Exclusion

  • Patients with any contraindication to epidural anesthesia were excluded.
  • cognitive impairment
  • coagulopathy
  • allergy to lidocaine
  • infection at the puncture site
