Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- Patients undergoing an elective esophagectomy
- Jejunal feeding tube placed at the time of surgery
Exclusion
- Emergent esophagectomy procedure
- Inability to provide informed consent or to complete testing or data collection
- Unwillingness to be randomized
- Tube feeding dependent on discharge
