Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- severe primary mitral regurgitation due to degenerative mitral valve disease
Exclusion
- previous open cardiac surgery,
- indication for concomitant aortic valve replacement,
- left ventricle impairment (ejection fraction \< 40%).
