Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- Patient has decompensated liver cirrhosis
- Patient has overt hepatic encephalopathy
Exclusion
- Protein losing enteropathy.
- Neurological conditions that make the assessment of hepatic encephalopathy difficult
- Parkinson's disease
- Alzheimer's disease
- Concomitant stroke
- Gastrointestinal Bleeding requiring blood transfusion
