Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- Aged 18 or over
- Undergoing surgical incision and drainage of a primary perianal abscess
Exclusion
- Suspected inflammatory bowel disease
- Fournier's Gangrene
- Horseshoe (bilateral) abscess
- Fistula-in-ano
- Multiple abscess
