Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Children aged between 6 months and 6 years presenting at the pediatric emergency department
  • Indication for midazolam as sedation
  • Signed informed consent

Exclusion

  • Contraindication for midazolam
  • Contraindication for dexmedetomidine
  • Contraindication for moderate sedation in general
