Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- Age: 2 to 17 years of age
- Diagnosis of perforated appendicitis at laparoscopy
- Development of a post-appendectomy abscess that is treated with percutaneous drainage.
Exclusion
- Patients who are allergic to ampicillin
