Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Patients 18-90 years old
  • Primary unilateral total hip arthroplasty
  • BMI 20 - 36
  • Male and Female
  • All races

Exclusion

  • Patient refusal
  • ASA class \> or = 4
  • Pregnancy
  • Any condition precluding patient going home with in 24 hours of surgery
  • Non-English speaking or inability to participate in the study
  • Patients with coagulopathy or on therapeutic anticoagulation
  • Chronic Steroid Use
  • Narcotic Addiction
