Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- qualification for isolated aortic valve replacement
- age\>18 years
- given consent for the study
Exclusion
- reoperation
- allergy to lidocaine
- coronary artery disease requiring surgical or percutaneous intervention
- pregnancy
- ejection fraction\<30%
- massive aortic calcification ("porcelain aorta")
