Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Unimalleolar fracture + ligamentous injury
  • Bi- or trimalleolar fracture ± ligamentous injury
  • \> 17 years
  • Date of injury less than 15 days
  • Written informed consent

Exclusion

  • Isolated unimalleolar fracture
  • Pilon fracture
  • Open fracture
  • Mental illness, incompliance, pregnancy
  • Multiple injuries
