Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • polytrauma patients admitted for emergency surgery.

Exclusion

  • patients with obesity (BMI\> 35kg/m2),
  • pregnancy,
  • a history of upper gastrointestinal diseases including gastroesophageal reflux disease, hiatus hernia, gastroeosphgeal cancer or upper GIT surgery.
