Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- Patients intubated because of respiratory failure following nosocomial pneumonia
Exclusion
- Terminal patients
- Patients with lung cancer
- Intubated for more than 24 hours at the sampling time
- Not fulfilling the CDC criteria for nosocomial pneumonia
