Inclusion
- elective, oncologic rectum resection in TaTME technique for proven or highly suspected rectal cancer.
Exclusion
- abdominoperineal resection
- extended colon resection
- previous surgery of the rectum, the left colon or the mesocolon/-rectum
- patients rejecting retrospective data analysis
