Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- Spine surgery including discectomy due to degenerative diseases
- Availability of removed disc tissue for further analysis
Exclusion
- Signs of spondylodiscitis (clinical signs, inflammation parameters, radiological)
- Suspected or known tumor disease
- Traumatic fractures
